Fort Collins shines when it comes to local eateries. So why not make February your local dining month and see how many new spots you discover along the way? Then post & tag @JoAnn.DiscoverCoHomes on Facebook because I'd love to see all my friends out exploring.

Below is a short list of suggestions, some we've all heard of and some not so known yet. If you have a favorite that you don't see here, email me at joannc@remax.net and I'll get it added.

LOCAL EATS

Their tag line sums it up "Hometown Food." With an ever-changing menu featuring fresh of freshest ingredients you won't be disappointed. Tip: Hit up their Happy Hour and on Tuesdays, it runs fro 3pm to close!

What started as a small cheese shop with a few tables sitting & sipping wine along with amazing cheese boards it has grown to a hustling expanded space. Tip: Get a homemade cannoli, made from proprietor Tina Mooneys special recipe.

Bar & Soda Fountain

Self-described as casual, crave-able, comfort food, and that it is! During the warmer months, the outdoor dining area is hands down one of the best in Fort Collins.

Not only do they serve up the best cider in Colorado, but the menu matches perfectly with a good glass of hard cider. Tip: Sandwich lovers, this is the place to go!

Under one roof you can choose based on what you're in the mood for. The Cafe is described as classic favorites with new traditions. The Cache is Colorado inspired with a more adventurous menu. The Market & Bakery is a cozy place to meet a friend over a fresh baked item and coffee with unique gifts. Rooftop is the spot to be on a warm summer night with live music.

2 Colorado guys decided to open a place that reflected everything they love about this great state; local food, local beer/spirits, art, artesian goods, music, and more. Even their tables and bar are handcrafted locally with recycled beetle kill wood! This is a casual place you'll want to go and hang out with friends and the food is delicious!

You don't have to travel across the ocean to feast on French cuisine because we have an amazing French cafe right here in midtown FoCo. Serving breakfast & lunch with all menu items made from scratch! In a hurry? Stop in at the bakery and pick up a fresh croissant (or several) to go.

There are many more local eateries with not enough room to list all of them here! So, to discover more local eating/drinking spots go to Downtown Fort Collins or Visit Fort Collins.
